Cassandra is a passionate Speech Therapist who is committed to helping individuals overcome and facce their communication and swallowing challenges.
Cassandra successfully completed her master’s degree at Université du Québec at Trois-Rivières in 2021. In addition to that, Cassandra also has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, which gives her a thorough understanding of human behavior and cognition. This multidisciplinary foundation enhances her practice, allowing her to approach assessment and therapy from a holistic perspective.
Cassandra has also been particularly interested in working with Indigenous communities and is actively involved in providing services in social pediatrics centres and educational institutions. She advocates the importance of cultural sensitivity and linguistic diversity and strives to create inclusive environments that celebrate multilingualism. In addition to her clinical work, Cassandra shares her expertise by giving lectures on multilingualism to raise awareness and provide knowledge on best practices in this field.
Cassandra also offers her expertise as a coach for educators and parents. She believes in the importance of providing effective strategies to support students with diverse communication needs. By empowering the child’s environment, Cassandra aims to create inclusive learning environments where all students can thrive.
In her private practice, Cassandra serves a wide clientele, from babies to adults. Recognizing that everyone is unique, she takes the time to thoroughly assess their needs and develop personalized therapy plans. Cassandra focuses not only on improving communication skills, but also on the overall well-being and quality of life of her clients.
Aside from her professional ventures, Cassandra enjoys personal activities such as figure skating and various sports. These allow her to maintain a balance of life, which ensures that she remains vigorous and focused on her speech therapy practice.
