Speech Therapist

A speech therapist is a health professional specializing in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of disorders of communication, oral and written language, speech, voice and swallowing. Thanks to adapted therapeutic techniques, the speech therapist helps clients of all ages to overcome their communication difficulties and to fully develop their potential.

Prerequisites

  • Master’s degree in speech therapy
  • Member of the Order of speech therapists and audiologists in Quebec – OOAQ
  • Mastery of oral and written French
  • Fluency in oral and written English (an asset)
  • Strengths in communication in all other languages (an asset)
  • Member of the College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists of Ontario – OOAO (an asset)
