Sandy is a compassionate, positive and dedicated person who always wanted a career in the health field where she could coordinate her passion for professional fulfillment by helping others. So, the choice of becoming a speech therapist was an obvious one for her.
In addition to working with children at our speech therapy practice, Sandy also works in a rehabilitation center where she assists adults suffering from cerebral palsy and neurodegenerative diseases. This dual expertise demonstrates her versatility and ability to adapt her approach to each individual. She is particularly interested in the fields of study that enrich her daily practice such as language, verbal dyspraxia and communication disorders following a stroke.
In a field as dynamic and constantly evolving as speech therapy, Sandy’s intellectual curiosity is considered an invaluable asset enabling her to diligently refine her clinical reasoning and stay at the cutting edge of new developments. As a graduate from the University of Ottawa in 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Linguistics, Sandy continued her studies with a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
