As someone who is deeply passionate about education, Maude brings nearly eight years of teaching experience along with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Primary Education from Université de Sherbrooke. Throughout her career, she’s had the privilege of working with learners of various ages and backgrounds, including those with specialized needs such as Down syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorder, visual processing difficulties, ADHD, DYS disorders, and developmental language delays.
Her educational approach, spanning from preschool through to Grade 8, draws inspiration from innovative pedagogies like Steiner-Waldorf and Reggio-Emilia, emphasizing holistic child development and fostering authentic, meaningful learning experiences. Maude’s connection to nature, further deepened through her role as an outdoor education practitioner, brings an additional layer of creativity and engagement to her classroom.
Committed to inclusion and academix success, Maude recently completed her Master’s in Education at the University of Ottawa, where her research focused on nurturing a sense of belonging among immigrant students within Franco-Ontarian culture. Her expertise primarily lies in supporting language learners, particularly through teaching French in minority-language contexts and multicultural settings.
