Being passionate about the outdoors, Jessy decided to return to school after seven years of teaching. In addition to being a speech therapist, she also holds a Master’s degree in Psychosocial Intervention with a concentration in nature and adventure, while also being a new mother since March 2023. With strongly beliefs in the benefits of the foundations of the approach by nature, Jessy wishes to bring a wind of change in the practice of speech therapy, especially amongst school-age clientele.
Since obtaining her Master’s degree in speech therapy at Université de Montréal in 2012, Jessy has developed an expertise with the school-aged clientele, which in turn supports of families through the various interventions at school such as language assessment and rehabilitation. More specifically, she has worked with students with oral language disorders and written language disorders from multilingual backgrounds.
She manages to adapt to the clients she meets by adjusting her interventions to their experience, difficulties, and needs. Jessy is a Speech Therapist who regularly participates in continuing education, which highlights her priority to improve her knowledge and practice day after day to offer high quality speech-language services. She also has a desire to share her knowledge and professional experiences, which are reflected in her supervision of several speech therapy trainees as well as her participation in humanitarian trips for the purpose of training language stimulation agents.
Jessy now wishes to focus her career in the private practice to meet new challenges; particularly wishing to share her expertise with the Innu communities of the North Shore. She is committed to the success of her clients and to shine a light on her profession. She will greet you with a smile and a curate a warm atmosphere that will continue throughout her interventions.
