Growing up in Quebec City, Charlotte worked with people with various disabilities for close to nine years where she also developed a strong interest in healthcare. Her experiences have made her recognize the importance of communication as a fundamental means to fulfill in any sphere of life, whether it be through oral language or alternative means.
Charlotte completed her bachelor’s degree in Language Sciences at the Université de Laval, during which her love of languages and speech were ignited. Seeking to marry these two passions, she moved into the field of Speech Therapy and completed her Master’s degree at the University of Ottawa.
Charlotte has made a special place for the Outaouais region in her heart where she has been practicing at the Cabinet d’orthophonie l’Envol for almost two years. She cares about the well-being and trust of her clients, which shapes her therapeutic approach by putting her empathy, adaptability, and creativity forward. With curiousity and passion for a variety of disciplines, she works with preschool and primary school children, as well as teenagers and adults. Whether it is face-to-face, on-call or virtual, she focuses her approach on the needs and expectations of the person consulting with her, while encouraging her to act at the heart of her own journey. Being bilingual, she can offer any service in French or English.
Charlotte believes that speech therapy services should be accessible to all. Hier most recent project is to undertake training for voice modification therapy, adapted to transgender and gender non-conforming clientele. These skills will enable her to meet a great demand in the Outaouais region. She will maintain her penchant for play therapy and will also continue to practice in her areas of high interest, such as oral and written language disorders, myofunctional orofacial disorders and others.
